About Solid Rock Church
SRC is an inter-denominational church preaching the uncompromised Word of God with a goal of reaching the lost and dying with a message of hope in Jesus Christ.

The Message of The Word
The Word of God is preached uncompromisingly at Solid Rock during each service. We believe that the responsibility of the local church is to equip Believers to be effective ministers of reconciliation and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

Expression of Praise to Our Lord
In praise and worship, we, as believers, are simply responding to the love God has shown to us and the grace He has given to us through His Son Jesus. We do not praise and worship the Lord to gain His approval, but rather because we already have gained His approval through Christ Jesus.
The following are based upon the ten different Hebrew words used in the scriptures for praise and worship:

Making a joyful noise / shouting - The Bible teaches us to shout and make a joyful noise to the Lord. Shout unto God with a voice of triumph.  (Psalm 47:1). Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.  (Psalm 95:1). Other scriptures include: Psalm 35:27; Psalm 66:1-2.

Clapping your hands - The Lord commands us to clap our hands. O clap your hands, all ye people...  (Psalm 47:1). Other references include Psalm 98:8; Isaiah 55:12; II Kings 11:12.

Dancing - Many scriptures teach us to praise God by dancing. Let them praise His Name in the dance.  (Psalm 149:3). Praise Him with the timbrel and dance.  (Psalm 150:4). Dancing is also referred to in these scriptures: Luke 6:23; Zephaniah 3:17; Matthew 11:17.

Uplifting hands - We can bless the Lord by lifting our hands. Lift up the hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.  (Psalm 134:2) I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands  (I Timothy 2:8). See also, Psalm 63:4.

Speaking and singing in tongues - The Bible teaches that speaking and singing in tongues is a form of praise unto God. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God  (Acts 10:46). ... I will sing with the spirit and I will sing also with the understanding  (I Corinthians 14:15). The Word of God outlines two major categorizations of tongues:
1) The manifestation of divers kinds of tongues  is given during a worship service and is heard above the rest of the congregation. It should be followed by the manifestation of interpretation of tongues.  (I Corinthians 14:27). These two manifestations together are equal to the manifestation of prophecy. Prophecy may be expressed by speaking or singing.
2) In our own prayer and worship life, tongues, spoken to God edifies or builds up the believer as well as gives thanks unto God. (I Corinthians 14:2, 17)

Music
The Music Departments goal is to lead the Body of Believers to an elevated height in praise and worship creating an atmosphere in which the Holy Spirit will move. The variety of songs which we sing are Word-based and Holy Spirit-inspired.

Nursery
The Nursery is a place designed to minister to the needs of infants and children up to age three. We offer a clean environment for your child with capable workers who can handle any situation.

Children
The Childrens Department is divided into two classrooms with the Joy Kids, ages 4 & 5, and the Mighty Warriors, ages 6 - 11. Each class offers a variety of teaching methods including puppet skits, visual aids, hands-on projects and review games.

IMPACT Youth Group
The Youth Group is made up of young adults, ages 12 - 17, who meet each Wednesday night. One Wednesday night per month is Illustrated Sermon night where the youth either stay in or participate in the illustration.

Helps Ministry
The Helps Ministry is vitally important to assure that each service will flow smoothly by tending to the natural needs within the service. This will allow the Pastor and/or Visiting Ministry to function more freely in the supernatural realm.

Intercessory Prayer
As the body of Christ, we are all called to intercede on behalf of others. (I Timothy 2:1-2) On Tuesday nights, the Church gathers together to pray for Israel, our country and government, and all other petitioned prayer requests.

Home Cell Groups
The Cell Ministry is based on Acts 2:46, where the early church gathered together in their homes. Cell meetings include praise & worship, Bible study, prayer and fellowship time. We have a number of different cell groups that meet at various times, days and locations. Each meeting lasts approximately an hour, to an hour and one-half.
